Mountain bike

The main features of the mountain bike are wide (1.5 - 2.5 inches, instead of the usual 20-40 mm) wheels, slightly smaller than road bikes, diameter (26 inches instead of 700 mm). A frame of special geometry with a carriage lifted for cross country rides up to 29-33 cm and a large number (21-27) of gears with a wide range of gear ratio, suitable for any height difference at which it is still possible to go. Mountain bicycles can be operated under extreme conditions, while the requirements of convenience and management efficiency play no less a role than weight reduction. Partly that's why hydraulic brakes, shock absorbers and other new developments appeared exactly in the MTB class.
